What are we looking for in a Case Manager?


Case Managers work closely with our clients who provide support to our clients. Case Managers offer supportive counseling to help clients stabilize and then assist clients with connecting to appropriate community services and treatment. Activities generally include gathering initial referral information, meeting with individuals to gather additional information on the presenting issue, reviewing this information and facilitating in-person or telehealth crisis evaluations. In addition to providing face-to-face client care, Case Managers also act as liaison between Comprehensive Healthcare and other community providers to coordinate services and ensure clients can access the resources they need. To be successful in this role, Case Managers must enjoy variety in their day, possess exceptional communication skills, and be able to quickly build rapport with people of all backgrounds. This position is based in Ellensburg but may provide services throughout Kittitas County. Although part of our Comprehensive Healthcare team, the Case Manager will be placed in the Kittitas Valley Healthcare clinics and hospital. 

Case Manager duties may include:

  • Conducts behavioral health groups following Comprehensive Healthcare’s guidelines and policies.
  • Leads groups using effective group facilitation skills that promote participation and interaction among group members.
  • Utilizes group process to develop insight, practice skills, and motivate client for change.
  • Follows lesson plan or curriculum and connects presented material to individual treatment plan goals.
  • Provides a combination of direct service and service coordination, with internal and external resources, to assist the client with achieving identified treatment plan goals.

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of community services and resources (including peer, natural, and community supports) and actively encourages individuals to access them.

  • Advocates for the client when appropriate to attain services and benefits to further recovery goals

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
  • Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor
  • Must have valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance
  • In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
