ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

* Ensure that the Center is kept clean and safe according to MHHC standards. Report any unsafe condition to supervisor.

* Open and close the Center per protocol as directed. Maintain building code confidential:

* Maintain a professional attitude and image towards fellow staff, visitors and customers.

* Sweep, mop, strip, wax, spray buff, clean and disinfect facility floors/furniture as scheduled.

* Perform wall washing, high and low dusting as schedule:

* Perform Terminal/Isolation cleaning as assigned.

* Prepare equipment and chemicals necessary for completion of daily or special job assignments.

* Keep supplies up to date and a running account of supply used.

* Follow proper policy and procedures implemented by the Facility Department;

* Remove and transport to proper trash site waste collection from exam rooms, waiting areas or any other area as needed within assigned work area.

* Remove and replace full sharp containers.  Replenish all fixed hygiene dispensers in assigned area. 

* Help transport of freight, furniture and Center equipment as requested and needed.

* Maintain a safe working environment and report any unsafe condition to the supervisor for correction.

* Maintain Facility Porter Closets and equipment clean and in working condition.

* Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from Supervisor.

* Cuts grass and trims weeds on property and parking lots.

* Operated snow removal equipment to maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots clear and safe. 

  Off Hours scheduling required.

* Performed other duties related to facilities as assigned by supervisor. 

 

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1.

EDUCATION: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Certificate of Fitness F-07 Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor must be obtained by or before three months probationary is complete. Failure to do so will result in immediate termination.

EXPERIENCE

One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SAFETY & SECURITY

All workers are under obligation to follow rules and regulations pertaining to safety and security.  Failure to comply with Safety & security rules and regulations will result in disciplinary action and ultimately termination of employment.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to co workers, and other employees of the organization.  The ability to read and understand Health Care standards govern by regulatory agencies ie: OSHA JCAHO and NFPA

COMPUTER SKILL

Must have basic knowledge of using email.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply.
