Essential Qualifications:
Certifications/Licenses:
- Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nevada
- Certified Addiction Registered Nurse or the ability to obtain licensure within a year
- Ability to pass first level and NABS background clearance
During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you
Education:
- Bachelors degree required
Experience and Competencies:
- Previous experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, substance use/abuse, developmental disabilities, and/or other health conditions that impact behavioral health
- At least one year of clinical experience; previous work experience in a related field may be substituted for clinical experience
- Be able to utilize the organizations electronic health record
- Contributes to the development standards related to care and nursing procedures through participation on committees and assigned task groups
- Participates in professional development activities and continuing educational programs to ensure currency in nursing practices and trends
- Adheres to the nurse practice act of Nevada and all laws and rules governing the practice of registered nurses in order to maintain high standards of care and current licensure
- Participates in performance and quality improvement measures to generate practice based evidence
