Description

The Clinical Systems Analyst - RN is responsible for supporting the overall implementation, operation, monitoring, and maintaining of clinical information systems. This position is responsible for interacting with the Quality Department to maintain a working knowledge of changes in State and National regulations (HIPAA, CMS and JCAHO) and assists with standard implementation of workflows necessary to meet these regulations. This position serves as a contact for communication between clinical departments and the CIS department. This position will train and educate clinical staff on HIS systems and Microsoft Office products and all areas of clinical documentation. This position provides and implements solutions to computer problems, provides software expertise, and is responsible for much of the organization’s computer training. This position ensures optimal use of all software functionality by assisting with the performance of audits of individual departments.

 

This position is required to work with and possibly be delegated tasks by the CIS Clinical Informatics Coordinator to install, operate and/or maintain any of the clinical HIS systems. The employee must be able to work independently to meet and maintain an acceptable standard of performance. The position requires contact with other employees when system problems arise. He/She will be responsible to assist them in the resolution as is necessary for continued quality operation of the system.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $34.94-$47.71/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.

  1. Education/Special Skills: Must have current nursing license in the state of Minnesota. Previous administrative or staff education experience is preferred.
  2. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
  3. Mental demands: Requires a high degree of mental alertness, comprehension, time management, and the ability to cope with resolving information and system problems.
  4. Must be able to attend work site per schedule, and must be available to provide On-Call and emergency coverage during after hour shifts. On occasion must be able to drive an automobile to meeting and other work-related activities outside the facility.
