The Maintenance Tech will complete carpentry/construction projects and perform duties involved in the maintenance of equipment, machinery and physical structure of the facility.

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:
Â
- Construction/Carpentry
- Ability to prepare surfaces for painting, varnishing, including plastering. Will be asked to do various painting projects.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of building codes and Interim Life Safety Measures. (ILSM) Ensure compliance with local, State and Federal guidelines.
- Must be capable of selecting the proper materials for all projects, repairs and installations.
- Knowledge of all tools related to construction.
- Ability to construct, remodel and repair a wall. (Steel stud or wood) Including adding door frames.
- Ability to pour concrete to replace sidewalks, drives and other repairs.
- Ability to sheetrock, tape and texture.
- Ability to install wallpaper and patch wall coverings.
- Ability to install ceiling grid. Ability to repair or replace ceiling tile.
- Ability to tile a room as needed. (Floor and walls) Ability to repair ceramic wall or floor tile. Ability to grout floor or wall tile.
- Ability to install vinyl or wood base.
- Building Repairs
- Ability to perform a wide variety of building repairs such as, but not limited to, installing shelves, assembling furniture, hanging cabinets, working with wood and replacing Formica or laminates.
- Ability to install, repair and re-key locks.
- Reports need of supplies or materials to Assistant Plant Operations Director.
- Maintain other structures owned by the Lake Region Healthcare.
- Assist with equipment repairs, installations and testing.
- Other DutiesÂ
- Assists with grounds maintenance.
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
- Assists with Security duties.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $21.10-29.08/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
