Position Overview

OrthoMed Anesthesia is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. You will play a key role in monthly close processes, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Addison, TX, reporting to the Controller. The role requires on-site presence during regular business hours.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Controller and Treasury Analyst to perform daily tasks and ensure day-to-day responsibilities are completed in a timely manner
  • Prepare and analyze monthly GAAP financial statements, including Statement of Cash Flows, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss with variance analysis
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accruals
  • Assist in the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support business operations
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP system is required
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing full financial statements
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate a plus)
