Description

Deerwood Bank is seeking a full-time Residential Real Estate Loan Servicer to work in our Baxter branch. This position demands extreme attention to detail with outstanding quality, excellent customer service. Primary responsibilities would be to assist in several clerical duties and day-to-day functions related to reviewing, managing, selling and servicing our Residential Real Estate loan portfolio and products. The Real Estate Loan Servicer must ensure that all work complies with all bank policies and procedures while staying in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

 

Hours:  Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm

 

Pay Rate:  $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Clean out loan files (when applicable), send paid loan letters to borrowers as well as preparing & recording Satisfactions for all Residential Real Estate Loans.
  • Track all files for Forced Place Insurance. Communicate with Lenders regarding their customers that require insurance to be force placed. Send 15-day & 45-day letters to customers. Activate the policy when needed & update ticklers for tracking the insurance.
  • Assist in monitoring & maintaining the in-house & FNMA delinquency processes & comment logs to ensure we have enough information needed for monthly delinquency reporting and then submit the FNMA delinquency status and reason codes monthly.
  • Enter data for secondary market loans being sold to FNMA, Monitor FNMA loans sold and pull FNMA purchases when the wires come in.
  • Assist in preparing reports as needed for lenders, supervisors, Board of Directors, regulators, service bureaus, government agencies & assist in preparing meeting agendas.
  • Perform all servicing duties to comply with our selling & servicing guide with Fannie Mae which includes but is not limited to performing daily payment sweeps, monitoring unapplied payments, etc.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting files for pre-close and post-close quality control programs and any other audits & providing follow up documentation when requested.
  • Provide servicing support for customers including but not limited to researching and assist in answering any questions they may have regarding their loan, applying payments, etc.
  • Review, monitor and file insurance renewals and ensure the declaration pages are accurate with ISAOA/ATIMA and escrow information.
  • Assist with preparing and disbursing escrow for property taxes each May and October.
  • Prepare general real estate correspondence related to selling, servicing & managing the Residential Real Estate loan portfolio & products such as past due payment and tax letters, 31 day and 61 day past due FNMA loan packets, maturing loan letters, etc.
  • Track property taxes annually and adjust ticklers accordingly.
  • Assist in performing file reviews for all real estate loans that are boarded and funded.
  • Ensure that all work performed in the Real Estate department complies with all bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and make ‘on the spot’ decisions that impact the customer, weighing customer satisfaction with exposure to loss or fraud.
  • Effectively operate all office equipment required to support this position. To include but not limited to personal computer, strong keyboarding skills, fax, scanner/copier, printer, phone system, all applications, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and positive attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Display independent judgement.
  • Demonstrate excellent organization, prioritize workflow, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and be a quick thinker and learner while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

 

Training and Experience:

  • Two-year college degree or, finance or banking experience, preferred.
    • Experience in an office setting will be considered.
