Position Responsibilities

  • Band Scheduling
    • Coordinate weekly scheduling of band members for Sunday / Fuse gatherings using Planning Center, with at least 4 weeks lead time.   
    • Assign lead vocal parts and prepare vocalists with harmony parts if needed.
  • Lead Tuesday Night Rehearsals
    • Prepare for Tuesday night rehearsals (Fuse and Sunday) to ensure the band is musically and spiritually prepared for our weekly gatherings. 
    • Build Ableton Live sessions. 
    • Communicate with the Music Director (MD) and Worship Pastor (if not you) to shape the overall flow of worship sets (includes thoughtful consideration of flex and response time).
  • Sunday Responsibilities
    • Manage Sunday time well including soundcheck, huddle, and run-thru.
    • Be on rotation for leading team devotional.
    • Lead culture of gratitude by prioritizing prayer and celebration with team post-gatherings.
  • Columbia Worship Arts
    • Participate in Weekly Sunday Sync planning meeting (1 hour)
    • Participate in Weekly COL Worship Arts Team meeting (1 hour)
    • Participate in Weekly NS Worship Leader Meeting (1 hour)
    • Participate in Monthly COL Worship Arts Lead Team Meeting
    • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
  • This role is a Part Time, 25 hrs/wk, temporary position.

  • Do whatever it takes to help the church reach its mission to see everyone, everywhere in an everyday relationship. Occasionally this will mean performing duties and tasks outside of your normal job responsibilities.
  • Uphold Biblical priorities in life, in the order outline below:
    1. Growing personal relationship with Jesus
    2. Relationship with spouse (if married)
    3. Relationship with children (if applicable)
    4. Purpose in life/ministry
  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
  • Financially support the vision of NewSpring Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.
