POSITION SUMMARY
Wausau Tile is seeking several motivated, reliable, and safety-conscious individuals to join our Site Furnishings team as Acid Room & Booth Operators. In this physically active role, you’ll handle acid etching and power washing of architectural concrete products in a controlled environment. You’ll be responsible for safely loading/unloading, treating, and staging products using forklifts and specialized PPE. This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively while supporting production flow across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Loading the Acid Room & Booth
Acid Etching & Washing

Set up and operate acid etching and power washing equipment per product specifications

Adjust equipment settings based on material and finish requirements
-
Wear supplied-air respirator and required PPE at all times during operation
Product Staging
Maintenance & Clean-Up
-
Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning PPE, replacing filters, and sweeping workspaces

Keep the area clean, stocked, and organized
-
Assist in other areas of production as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Extended periods of standing, bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and twisting
-
Regularly move or lift materials up to 50 lbs
-
Comfortable wearing a supplied-air respirator hood and full-body PPE
-
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, or elevated surfaces as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read production documents including schedules, blueprints, and spec sheets
-
Proficient with hand tools, measuring devices, and basic machinery
-
Mechanically inclined with a keen eye for quality and detail
-
Forklift experience required (certification preferred)

Must be comfortable working in a specialized and physically demanding environment
-
Willing to assist and cross-train in other department areas as needed
