Position Summary:
Incumbent performs basic/moderate, and learns complex, automation assembly and preparation, customer site installation, and field service. This position is considered a Safety Sensitive position.
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Assemble automation and machines per the bill of material and design.
- Disassembles and packs automated systems in a way that they won’t be damaged in transit to customer site.
- Performs installation, set up and debug of automated systems on the customer floor.
- Incumbent ensures high quality standards in all work performed and follows all safety procedures and requirements.
- Performs problem solving and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Accurately documents, completes and reports required information for work records and reports.
- At all times ensures work area is clean and orderly before & after assembly and shipment preparation. Maintains a clean work environment.
- Required, travels to customer site; locally, out-of-state and out of country.
- Continuously reviews current processes and procedures that make it easy for internal/external customers to do business with department/division. Ensures processes and procedures allow efficiency in work performed.
- Based on business need, assists, supports and/or performs other job functions within Automation or other Departments.
Responsible for maintaining current technical, interpersonal, and communication skills through continuous development. Progressive development of skills should be cultivated through further education, seminars, company training and other external resources such as reading material
