Position Summary

Westhaven Golf Club has full-time cook positions available. Flexible schedules are offered.

Cooks should an have understanding of a la carte and banquet production with experience on sauté, grill and pantry.  Working knowledge of applicable health and sanitation regulations and a desire to provide membership with an exceptional dining experience a must.  This is a scratch operation with emphasis on regional products when available.

Primary Resposibilities 

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our seasonal menu and established recipes.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation are maintained at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking and organizing kitchen supplies.
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation regulations to comply with health department standards.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely service to guests.
  • Participate in daily kitchen prep and clean-up activities.

Skills and Knowledge 

  • High level of cleanliness, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to excellence and a desire to provide membership with an exceptional dining experience.
  • Team player attitude and ability to foster professional relationships with golf club members, employees and guests.
  • Working knowledge of applicable health and sanitation regulations.
  • Must work well with Food & Beverage team to deliver a seamless service.
  • Ability to partner with various functions and team members to bring initiatives to life.
  • Preparing and expediting great food by checking methods of cooking, portion sizes and garnishes, ensuring a quality product. 
  • Must work well with Food & Beverage team to deliver a seamless service.


Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a line cook preferred, not required.
  • High level of cleanliness, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player able to foster professional relationships with members, employees and guests.
  • Great work ethic with a passion for exceeding member expectations and a commitment to excellence resulting in high quality member and guest service.
