St. Luke’s Home is an 88-bed long-term, skilled nursing facility where residents receive 24-hour skilled nursing care; IV therapy; wound care and post-surgical care; respite care; nutritional therapy; and peritoneal dialysis.

This ad is for a full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) position with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Washing tables, scrubbing dining area floors, cleaning vents, following safety precautions, and reporting incidents and accidents.
  • Removing dust, dirt, and grease from surfaces using cleaning or disinfecting solutions as well as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • Assuring work areas are clean and equipment, tools, and supplies are stored properly in addition to removing trash and waste from offices.

  • Capability to commute reliably to and from workplace in all weather conditions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents and teammates.

Qualifications

  • Clean floors, tin include sweeping, dusting, and damp/wet mopping (NOTE:  Assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.
  • Remove direct, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
  • Vacuum hallways, stairways and elevators.
  • Remove waste/trash from all office areas into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
  • Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, mealtimes, and end of the workday.
  • Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
  • Dispose of shredded paper as assigned.
  • Wash off tables in the dining areas.
  • Scrub floors in the dining areas.
  • Clean vents.
  • Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
  • Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be.
  • Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
  • Assure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
  • Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.
  • Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as directed or requested.
  • Clean work/supply carts, equipment, etc., as necessary or directed.
  • Must comply with Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Control Policy when applicable.
  • Must work in hot and damp environment.
  • Must work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions and comply with EPA and OSHA regulations and other safety policies.
  • Maintain the confidentiality or resident information.
  • Honor the residents personal and property rights.
  • Will report all grievances to Administrator
