Pharmacy Operations & Compliance Manager
Location: Fort Myers, FL | Status: Onsite /Hybrid as needed| Reports To: VP of Pharmaceutical Services
Are you a pharmacy operations leader passionate about quality, regulatory excellence, and ensuring the safe delivery of life-saving medications? LeeSar and CSF is seeking a Pharmacy Operations & Compliance Manager to drive operational performance, compliance, and service quality across our sterile compounding, medication tray replenishment, and EMS pharmacy services.
In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, serve as the primary liaison for communication and compliance, and ensure our medication-use processes meet the highest regulatory and quality standards. Your expertise will directly support patient safety and the success of our member health systems.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily operations for sterile compounding, medication tray replenishment, and EMS pharmacy services.
- Conduct audits, oversee policy development, and ensure adherence to state/federal pharmacy regulations.
- Analyze data trends, investigate discrepancies, and manage root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate process improvement initiatives focusing on efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Supervise pharmacy personnel and participate in staff scheduling, coaching, and skill development.
- Monitor medication inventory and support procurement to ensure availability and minimize obsolescence.
- Support the rollout of new technologies, automation systems, and performance metrics to enhance safety and quality.
- Serve as a key communicator with pharmacy leadership, internal teams, and external health-system partners.
What You Bring
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; Pharm.D. preferred.
- Active, in-good-standing Florida Pharmacist License required.
- Experience in health-system or institutional pharmacy operations.
- Strong knowledge of USP <797>, regulatory requirements, and sterile compounding standards.
- Experience with auditing, root-cause analysis, risk management, and quality improvement.
- Proven leadership skills: delegation, coaching, organization, and effective communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
