Summary: The Adjunct Nursing Instructor plays a vital role in supporting the development of practical nursing students by providing hands-on instruction and supervision in both clinical settings and the campus skills lab. This position requires travel to designated clinical sites and active participation in on-campus lab activities to ensure students gain the practical competencies necessary for success in nursing practice.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Travel to assigned clinical sites to supervise and mentor nursing students during their clinical rotations.
2. Satisfy clinical agency requirements.
3. Ensure students adhere to professional standards, safety protocols, and clinical objectives.
4. Collaborate with clinical site staff to facilitate a positive learning environment.
5. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
6. Assist students in developing and practicing essential nursing skills in the campus lab.
7. Provide instruction that aligns with the curriculum and current best practices.
8. Maintain lab equipment and ensure a safe, organized learning space.
9. Support faculty in preparing lab materials and assessments.
10. Recommends new and/or replacement equipment to be purchased for the program.
