We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our growing team.

 

Here is a summary of the role:

The Solutions Architect must be a recognized specialist and client lead, with a deep understanding of the Data Architecture and Systems Integrations that comprise a client's Digital Marketing Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing and extensive direct experience within the marketing technology landscape.

 

The Solutions Architect must possess keen business consulting skills and will be responsible for assisting clients in defining solutions for their online marketing initiatives. In addition, you will develop relationships with our clients directly and be part of a multi-disciplinary Tandem Theory client-facing team. The Solutions Architect will also take an active role in driving best-practices and methodologies, supporting business development efforts and acting as a thought leader within the organization and in the industry.

 

The role requires an advanced, full-stack, technical understanding of marketing technology, marketing platforms, and marketing development.

 

What you will do:

  • Support the Tandem Theory team as a contributor to client projects and deliver technical requirements and solutions in MarTech / AdTech with the following areas of expertise: CRM, Segmentation, Content, Media, DMP, Social, DAM, Identity platforms, and integration of these platforms with databases and other data sources.
  • Be a technical lead and driver of engagement with clients as part of a project team to deliver strategic, best-practice, practical technical solutions; from initial scoping through solution design, build, support transition and ultimately ongoing support. Must be familiar with both waterfall and agile methods of delivery.
  • Drive processes and technical innovations, which includes the creation of documents, presentations, architecture diagrams, process flows, data model diagrams, and solution design documents, with associated presentations of topics.

 

 

Responsible for working with clients and the team to deliver the following types of engagements:

  • Solution Design and Architecture (Medium and High Complexity)
  • RFP management and support
  • Integration specifications
  • Existing solution audit and analysis
  • Data mapping, extract and transformation strategies
  • Relational Data / Data Schemas development
  • Scripting and Query development
  • Reporting specification and delivery
  • Heavy use of copy and paste
  • Custom application development projects
  • Active mentoring and knowledge transfer within the broader Tandem Theory Team
  • Lead multiple projects/streams of work and identify additional business opportunities
  • Ensure the highest levels of satisfaction by delivering outstanding service, valuable insights, and recommendations to clients
  • Support Acceleration business development efforts by providing technology-related market insights and analysis

 

What you should have:

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of business English grammar
  • Strong technical writing skills that can clearly explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to manage technical discussions with team members, management, agency partners, and clients
  • A love for solving problems proactively, resourcefully, and creatively
  • Innate balance between both detail-oriented and big-picture thinking
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills essential
  • Ability to thrive and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven work environment
  • Proven Client-focused work ethic with a high standard of service and quality control
  • Proven multitasking skills in handling simultaneous multiple projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or comparable work experience
  • At least 5 years of delivering multi-solution engagements, ideally in heavy digital Marketing and/or Advertising agency environment
  • Marketing technology experience (including marketing production, content management, planning, implementation, various channel use - e.g. email and email platforms, web, mobile, etc., CRM, Audience Management and Analytics) in some of the popular technology stacks including Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle (plus Oracle Responsys), IBM, etc.
  • Strong understanding of internet architecture and database structures
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc.) required
  • Experience migrating between cross-channel Marketing Automation Platforms preferred
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations desirable
  • Experience with CDP’s (Segment, SalesForce Data Cloud, Klaviyo, etc.) required
  • Experience with CEP’s (Twilio, SalesForce Omnichannel, Braze, etc.) required
  • Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or team gatherings (typically less than 25% of the time)

The salary for this exempt-level position will be based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range. Benefits include 85% employer paid medical, eligibility to participate in vision and dental insurance as well company paid STD, LTD coverage plus a flat amount company paid toward Basic Life and AD&D, as well as a generous 401(k) retirement contribution plan eligible after 90-days of employment.

 

Working Conditions:

We operate as a work from - not live from - anywhere model and utilize the office space as a co-working space as needed. That said, whether in the office or at a remote location, we try to operate in the traditional office norm model. You will be working with a computer, telephone, copier, or other office equipment as necessary for long stretches of time. There may be some occasional long, irregular hours. You are expected to communicate effectively (verbal and written), and maintain professionalism under stress. Occasionally you will need to bend, pull, push and/or reach to access job-related materials. You will also be expected to work with frequent interruptions such as Slack messages, emails, phone calls, drive-by visits to your desk, whether that is from a co-worker at the office or your dog barking while working remotely. All our calls are held on video, as it is important to see facial expressions and reactions to work cohesively in a collaborative environment.
