Key Responsibilities

ECI is seeking a Staff Accountant who will play an integral role within the controllership function. The position will be a leader in close process for multiple locations and will be involved with preparation of financial statements. This position will report to the Assistant Controller.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the month-end closing process including journal entry preparation for multiple locations
  • Assist junior level plant accounting personnel with identifying proper general ledger accounts for non-routine transactions
  • Elimination/reconciliation of intercompany activity and balances
  • General ledger accounting including month-end reconciliations and account analysis
  • Track capital spending
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis
  • Preparation of cash flows
  • Assist in coordination of deliverables to external auditors
  • Work with cross function leaders and provide applicable support when requested
  • Maintain records in accordance with company policy
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field preferred; in lieu of degree, 5-10+ years of relevant experience required
  • 2+ years accounting experience
  • Established analytical skills with ability to communicate findings to team
  • Experience with General Ledger/fixed asset or ERP Systems such as BPCS
  • Understanding of US GAAP

Primary Location

The Staff Accountant will be based on-site in St. Louis, Missouri.
