Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

As a dryer operator, your duties are to complete production log sheets, work instructions, and other related paperwork, operate the dryer machine in accordance with safety and health policies and procedures, monitor gauge readings, make adjustments when necessary, and take hourly readings on evaporator and injector status. Your responsibilities also include cleaning and sterilizing the sifter and other related equipment after production.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Filling/Emptying dryer bins.
  • Make the machinery is working properly.
  • Move product from wash tanks to dryers to elevators.
  • Use hand and eye coordination to operate the overhead conveyor/hoist system.
  • Maintain a steady flow of product out of the dryer room and onto the scale mezzanine.
  • Inspect product and equipment for possible contaminants.
  • Extensive climbing, pushing and pulling throughout shift
  • Ability to quickly react to fast-paced and constant maneuvering of dryer baskets and carts between wash system, dryer deck, and elevators
  • And any other work-related duties assigned by your Supervisor

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to tolerate working in a very humid/warm environment
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to climb stairs frequently
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must have good oral communication skills.
  • Must have a team player attitude
  • Must be able to work weekdays and weekends
  • Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
  • Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.
