Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred OR 2 years of experience in related industry.
- Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to read a map and/or follow written directions.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Routinely drives/operates forklifts; works with tools, and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Manufacturing environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. A consistent presence at work is required.
Must pass company required drug screen and physical.
Age & Licensing Requirements
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have to ability to travel to Coburn’s customer and company branch locations.
Non-CDL Drivers: Drivers of vehicles that are transporting material intrastate, with a GVWR of 26,000 pounds or less are required to be a minimum age of 21 years old and licensed as follows:
- Texas– personal driver’s license with medical card.
- Mississippi & Tennessee- Class D license with medical card.
- Louisiana – Chauffer’s license (Class D) with medical card.
In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.
