Program Description:
Graham Windham’s Intensive Prevention Program combines the Solution-Based Casework (SBC) method and the evidence-based Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) modality to promote child safety and well-being, reduce risks to children and youth, and prevent foster care placement.
The Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) model is a brief family intervention for children and youth with serious behavior problems and/or drug use. The BSFT intervention works well for families with poor behavior management and problematic relationships. The intervention identifies patterns of family interaction and improves them to restore effective parental leadership and involvement with the youth. BSFT also seeks to reduce drug use and delinquency in youth
Principal Objective/Role Overview:
The Administrative Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to the BSFT team, ensuring the effective delivery of Brief Strategic Family Therapy services to children and families. This role includes supervising BSFT Therapists, supporting compliance with ACS and agency standards, guiding clinical documentation and service delivery, responding to client emergencies, and maintaining high standards of casework practice. The Administrative Supervisor also supports collaboration with internal teams and external partners to promote safety, well-being, and family stability.
Â
This role offers the potential to transition into the BSFT Clinical Supervisor position for candidates who meet the model’s clinical proficiency requirements and hold the appropriate licensure, including carrying a small caseload to develop BSFT practice skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry no more than three (3) cases while acclimating to the supervisory role, to ensure adequate time for onboarding, training, and transition.
- Provide ongoing management direction and support to staff, ensuring correct implementation of Agency policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision and coaching to assigned BSFT Therapists, enabling them to deliver appropriate and consistent services through ongoing training and skills development.
- Maintain and apply current knowledge of preventive services and applicable regulations; train unit staff and develop affiliations with relevant community-based child welfare resources.
- Ensure efficient administrative procedures are in place within the unit, including timely case documentation and workflow systems.
- Carry out casework reviews as mandated by regulation, ensuring compliance in program and records with government mandates and Agency policies. Develop Utilization Clinical Reviews, consumer satisfaction surveys, and other quality assurance processes.
- Ensure high standards of timeliness and accuracy in case documentation, monitoring case planning and service delivery.
- Provide direct casework services to more challenging or complex cases, as needed, to meet family and programming needs.
- Assist with Family Team Conferences (FTC) facilitation as needed.
- Respond to client emergencies both during and outside of regular office hours; maintain cell phone coverage as required.
- Attend regularly scheduled supervision, courses, and seminars to maintain and enhance social work and supervisory skills.
- Provide client consultation and participate in management meetings, agency committees, and interdisciplinary conferences as assigned.
- Work with the Program Director to build relationships with community agencies, establish communication with ACS, and provide directions to staff.
- Attend agency meetings in the absence of the Program Director.
- Participate in agency-sponsored activities that benefit families enrolled in the program.
