Job Summary: The Network Administrator I will be responsible for managing and maintaining the networks of our organization. The Network Administrator I will provide both strategic and tactical guidance, to achieve financial, operational and will play a crucial role in ensuring the network infrastructure operates smoothly, efficiently, and securely, collaborating with other IT professionals to implement and support network solutions that meet the organization's needs. Expertise in networking technologies and troubleshooting will be essential in resolving complex network issues and optimizing network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various network infrastructures both locally and remote, including Cisco switches, FortiNet firewalls, access points and controllers, and various other virtual and physical network appliances.
- Implement and manage network services, such as IPSEC, VPN, SIP, DHCP, DNS, VLANS, OSPF, EIGRP, AAA and VNET

- Collaborate with network engineers to design, plan, and implement network infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime and availability.
- Conduct regular network assessments to identify and address areas of improvement.
Network Security:
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and access control policies.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential threats.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and take appropriate action.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats and best practices to proactively protect the network infrastructure.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues related to connectivity, performance, and security. The right candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to troubleshoot issues throughout the OSI/TCP IP layers
- Utilize network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to identify and analyze network problems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis on network incidents and implement preventive measures.

Network Administration:
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and backup and recovery procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users for network-related issues.
- Coordinate with system administrators to integrate network services with other IT systems.
