Position: Student Support Specialist (Part-Time)
Location: Wake Forest, NC
Hours: 25–29 hours/week
Pay: $10.50/hour
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) is seeking a Student Support Specialist to deliver outstanding customer service and support to our students. At SEBTS, every student is treated as a VIP, and we are committed to helping them find timely and effective solutions to their questions. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills—both written and verbal—who is eager to serve students. The primary focus of this position is to respond to student inquiries via phone and email. This position will also learn how to advise students on their degrees and will assist the Student Support team with internal operations that ensure a seamless student experience.
We are looking for someone with high attention to detail, self-initiative, and strong time management skills to make the most of a part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Student Support Office, assisting students and prospective students via phone and email.
- Build connections across campus to direct students to the appropriate resources and offices.
- Encourage students to reach out with questions regarding courses, schedules, and academic programs.
- Occasionally assist students in making their academic plan, although advising is not the primary responsibility of this role.
Offer basic support for questions related to course pages.
