
Certified Nurse Assistant

Saxon Surgery Center is seeking a qualified CNA for a busy orthopedic ambulatory surgery center. The CNA must be organized, efficient and focused on assisting professional nursing staff with preparation of patients for surgery and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities:
Certified Nursing Assistant duties will consist of, but are not limited to:
- Plan & prepare admitting bays with equipment & supplies for the admission of patient.
- Participate in all elements of patient safety when escorting patient within patient care area.
- Assist patient with containment of personal belongings and donning patient gown.
- Obtain vital signs, placement of compression stockings and other tasks as directed by RN.
- Remains focused on task at hand without becoming distracted by unnecessary.
- Properly uses point of care equipment according to manufacturer’s instruction for use.
- Properly disinfects point of care equipment between each patient use.
- Effectively conducts hand hygiene when providing direct care.
- Communicates directly with RN any significant information obtained during direct patient contact.
- Concentrates on optimizing patient experience by promptly attending to the needs of patient or tasks as directed by RN.
