TITLE: Youth Summer Internship
REPORTS TO: Unit Director/Site Coordinator and/or Chief Of Operations.
The Boys & Girls Club has paid internships where you can get real-world experience and learn from awesome businesses and organizations right here in Manhattan.
Position Summary
The Summer Youth Intern will support day-to-day operations of the host organization while gaining real-world experience, building professional skills, and exploring potential career paths. Interns will complete hands-on projects, participate in team tasks, and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with routine office or site tasks such as organizing materials, filing, greeting visitors, or supporting events

Participate in team meetings, trainings, or briefings

Complete a final project or reflection on your learning and contributions

Maintain professional behavior, punctuality, and communication

Follow all safety and confidentiality guidelines

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Must be 16–18 years old and enrolled in the summer program

Interested in learning new skills and gaining work experience

Reliable, respectful, and willing to follow instructions

Able to work independently and ask for help when needed

Punctual and available for the full duration of the program
Working Conditions

May include standing, light lifting, or computer work depending on the site

Dress code may vary by site (will be shared during orientation)

Some roles may involve outdoor or physical tasks
Cost: FREE
Length: 10 week program in the summer
Stipend: 1750 paid out twice in the summer
Ages: 16-18 year olds
Monday to Friday 20-30 hours a week
