Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer for the Fabrication Department is responsible for developing, optimizing and implementing manufacturing processes of all piece part production. This role requires a hands-on approach to support production machines. Additionally, the Engineer will manage production planning to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery to downstream departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning:
•Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of parts to downstream departments.
•Optimize the use of resources to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
•Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
Process Optimization:
•Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.
•Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
•Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to enhance productivity.
•Create and maintain detailed process documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Equipment Technical Support:
•Provide technical support for the operation of fabrication equipment.
•Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
•Recommend and implement upgrades or new equipment to enhance production capabilities.
Continuous Improvement:
•Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to implement changes.
•Use data-driven approaches to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Fabrication Department.
•Train and mentor team members on continuous improvement techniques and best practices.
Project Management:
•Lead and manage continuous improvement projects within the Fabrication Department.
•Coordinate with other departments to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
•Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
•Promote a culture of safety within the department.
