Job Description
RightNow Media is looking for an experienced User Experience Designer to join our Software Development team. This person will be responsible for the design of the user interface for all websites, mobile apps and set-top box apps related to the RightNow Media platform. They work closely with the Product Team to determine the overall flow and experience of the user with this platform. This person will help the team design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions to drive business value. They will have the opportunity to solve complex problems using cutting-edge technologies and modern engineering practices. This person values personal and professional growth and has a passion for exploring and learning new topics. The successful candidate will strive for excellence in both their work and their relationships and maintain a professional outlook in all situations and interactions. This person will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to accomplish tasks and objectives with minimal guidance.
This role has the option to be fully remote, or you can work from our office in McKinney, TX if you prefer. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m.-5:30p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
What you'll do
- Design and present user-interface options for new features to be implemented within the RightNow Media platform.
- Attend and contribute to the Product Team discussions on the direction and design of the overall user experience.
- Create and maintain a style guide for the software team that can be easily translated to our website and applications.
Skills and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts in Digital Design, Graphic Design, advertising, art, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of web-based and/or app UX Design, involved in all stages of development; UX, information architecture, user research, scrum-based project planning, implementation.
- 2-3 years of experience designing mockups and prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch and Adobe XD.
- Experience using HTML/CSS
- Strong attention to detail when gathering requirements for new features
- Strong communication skills to present new ideas and mockups.
