Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, supporting infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives for our development teams, and creating integrations that provide crucial metrics on code quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

This role has the option to be fully remote, or you can work from our office in McKinney, TX if you prefer. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m.-5:30p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
  • Build and manage integrations for development tools and metrics platforms
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve code quality, performance, and reliability
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform engineering practices

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Spinnaker)
  • Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., DataDog, NewRelic, OTel)
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate), Developer (Associate) or equivalent certificate from Azure/GCP

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with microservices architecture and event based architecture.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional), or equivalent certificate from Azure/GCP
