Description/Qualifications

General Description

The Child Care Provider will provide childcare to children ages infant to 17, during parent support groups. Each group meets for 8 weeks. Experience with various ages, especially young children and infants preferred. Previous child care experience is required.

 

To be considered, you must be able to work varied hours, be punctual, and use appropriate child discipline techniques. The position requires engagement in educational interactive activities with children and reporting any potential signs of child abuse. Successful completion of a DHS Criminal Background check, which may require fingerprinting, is required. Options Counseling and Family Services requires all its staff to have respectful, open, unbiased, and accepting attitudes towards clients and their families. Hours will be in the evening.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Have a current driver’s license

  • Be able to pass a background check

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must comply with current organization Policies and Procedures as they relate to HIPAA Privacy and Security in effect at the time of employment.

  • Will maintain disclosures to the minimum necessary and attend all mandated trainings as required by policies.

  • Will access only the protected health information necessary to complete job duties.

  • Be able to work varied hours, evenings and days

  • Coordinate with other program staff as needed

  • Be flexible, punctual

  • Provide child care during group time as needed

  • Use appropriate discipline techniques

  • Engage in educational and interactive activities with the children

  • Report any potential signs of child abuse

  • Ensure the child care area is left orderly and report any problems to the class facilitator
