Description

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for profitable property/casualty growth within the assigned territory. This role will promote the sales and support of Battle Creek Insurance to independent agents and agencies. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist appointed agencies with increasing premium volume, assuring the quality and integrity of insurance sold within the assigned territory. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agent inquiries, including training, education, and underwriting questions.
  • Prepare a marketing plan that includes agent recruitment goals, production goals, marketing strategies, and premium volume projections. 
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to cybersecurity and other technology professionals, aligning team efforts with business priorities.
  • Able to analyze reports for growth opportunities, help agents develop and maintain an agency marketing plan for profitable growth.
  • Identify, interview, and contract independent agencies to write with Battle Creek Insurance. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with agents within the assigned territory.
  • Deliver comprehensive product training and program reviews to appointed agencies.
  • Promote and support the use of Battle Creek Insurance systems and products essential to conducting insurance business.
  • Facilitate joint business planning with agencies to drive growth in alignment with company philosophies and strategic objectives. 
  • Report weekly and/or monthly progress toward established goals to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in the insurance industry.
  • Emphasis on Marketing/Sales, Business, or Agriculture-related fields of study preferred. 
  • Possess a current Property/Casualty license or demonstrate willingness to obtain one. 
  • Working knowledge of Property/Casualty insurance products, with a strong preference for candidates with insurance sales experience. 

 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Basic understanding of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures within the property and casualty industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with agents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, including email and other electronic methods, while maintaining confidentiality in daily operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver occasional presentations to agents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as required to successfully perform the duties of the position. 
  • Position is home-based within the assigned territory and requires regular travel throughout Nebraska.
