Education and Experience:
- College degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Ability to analyze and evaluate risks, consistently making fair and impartial judgments. Works to develop solutions to problems. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
An individual must possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Must be able to manage relationships, workload, and maintain consistent underwriting practices. Thorough knowledge of underwriting and processing procedures. Works under pressure and shifting priorities to achieve corporate goals.
