Description

Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT project manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for organizing technical projects and ensuring that all members of the project teams work efficiently. You should have an aptitude for thinking outside the box and enjoy critical thinking, organization, and overall team management. This individual must have the ability to develop, implement and consult on designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops and maintains project plans which outline project status individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, and resource allocation
  • Develops and implements strategies to encourage active participation and gain support from stakeholders (senior management, team members, employees, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
  • Identifies and coordinates with project committees and advisory groups to recommend process development and implementation.
  • Provides consultation and assistance on project planning, development and implementation techniques.
  • Coordinates communications between teams
  • Measures, evaluates and communicates project performance
  • Consults with and provides problem solving assistance to team members on matters related to programs, projects, and tasks
  • Applies risk management to projects
  • Inspect projects for quality assurance
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through post-project debrief with clients
  • Document all estimates, project statuses, and project completion paperwork
  • Work with the technical team to brainstorm new test ideas for technical projects

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; advanced certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum Master) are a plus.
  • 5+ years leading projects that touch both technology and business. Service delivery experience is a plus.
  • Strong communicator: able to switch between technical detail and plain-language clarity with ease.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Top-level focus on customer satisfaction, delivering exceptional customer service utilizing strong interpersonal communications, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Clear understanding of the Software Development lifecycle (SDLC)

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Applicants must reside in Fargo/Moorhead or in proximity to be eligible for this position, as the role is based out of the home office
  • Able to work in a typical office setting where the employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Occasional travel required (< 10%)
