Description

The History Department in the Division of Humanities at Methodist University is looking for an adjunct instructor to teach an in-person course in an engaging and rigorous manner.  The instructor must be able to teach United States History I in Fall 2025 on campus MWF from 9 – 9:50 AM.  A successful candidate will be considered for future courses. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Teach one section of United States History I (to 1865) during the Fall 2025 semester.
  • Provide quality in-person instruction, including the delivery of constructive feedback and evaluation on student work in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with students to support them and address their questions or concerns.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: A Master’s degree in History is required, with at least 18 credit hours at the graduate level, from an accredited institution.
  • Teaching Experience preferred, with a record of student engagement.
