Position: Residential Aide

Program: Sierra Center Work Release

Location: New Haven

Salary: $17.00/hour

Schedule: Per Diem 

 

Program Summary:

The Sierra Work Release program supports adult men who are re-entering the community after a period of incarceration. 

 

Position Summary:

The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client supervision and support. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served.  The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents. Consistent and predictable attendance is required. 

 

Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License

 

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
