Other financial institutions offer jobs.  At Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union, we offer careers!  JHFCU is currently seeking a full-time TELLER SUPERVISOR for our branch located on the Bayview campus of Johns Hopkins. This position assists branch management in the daily coordination of Tellers workflow and function within the department as well as being responsible for implementing existing policies and procedures involving teller operations.

  • Responds to Teller questions, solves problems and assists with complex transactions and in particular sensitive member relations problems
  • Makes judgements for Tellers within limits of authority pertaining to cashing and/or accepting checks or drafts
  • Provides supervisory approvals and overrides as well as when it is appropriate.
  • Utilize product knowledge to cross-sell and resolve issues, ensuring member satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and management.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and accurate document processing, keeping supervisors informed.
  • Maintain availability for calls and assist other departments as needed.
  • Uphold workspace standards for cleanliness and security.

Qualifications

Possessing a professional proactive attitude, along with excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to perform multiple tasks with professionalism and tact are qualities that translate to success. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum two (2) years teller and one year supervisory related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
