Key Highlights of the Mortgage Operations Manager Role include:

  • Responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Real Estate Lending Department, including the origination, processing and closing of conventional, FHA, home equity and HELOC loans
  • Uses strong knowledge of Encompass mortgage software to drive accuracy and efficiency within the department.
  • Coaches, mentors and guides development for Real Estate Lending department staff direct reports
  •  Underwrites conventional, home equity and HELOC applications. Responsible for reviewing staff’s HMDA data input to ensure accuracy and aggregating HMDA reporting data; trains staff on the HMDA reporting function as needed.
  • Reviews mortgage loans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Assesses current processes and drafts recommendations to resolve system and procedural bottlenecks and enhance products and service level
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relationships with  members and third parties to provide a high level of member service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/certification and experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) from an accredited college or university; and a minimum of five (5) years of mortgage lending experience, plus three years of management experience with a strong emphasis on staff development, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting lending programs. NMLS License is required.
