Required Education
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Required Experience
- Thorough knowledge of radiologic and CT technology practices, basic sciences related to mechanical and electrical systems. Minimum one year of experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications
- ARRT license.
- BLS certification.
- CT certification preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions, and understand technical information from supervisors, charts, reference books, manuals and labels.
- Uses special medical skills to care for the sick or handicapped.
- Uses personal judgement and specialized knowledge to give information to people.
- Communicates well. Speaks clearly and listens carefully.
- Adheres to policy and procedures as set forth by the hospital.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Assists patients and their families in their needs. Work fast in an emergency.
- May be cross trained in other areas where applicable.
- May be required to vary shifts and/or weekend rotation as the needs of the department dictate.
- May include overtime, only if approved by the Director.
- Ability to multitask.
- Record information accurately.
