Job Summary

The Membership Ambassador supports Sanitas' growth strategy by engaging with the community, assisting prospective and current members, and representing the Sanitas brand through outreach and events. Reporting to the Business Development Engagement Manager, this role plays a key part in driving awareness, promoting Sanitas’ value-based care model, and supporting patient retention through education, outreach, and exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver exceptional service to existing and prospective members to maximize Sanitas' commercial and growth strategies.
  • Call current and prospective member lists to engage members in Sanitas services; document activity in CRM and call tracking systems.
  • Support brokers and members by scheduling appointments, resolving service issues, and providing accurate information.
  • Prioritize patient/member needs, requests, and follow-ups.
  • Be outgoing, energetic, and creative in daily interactions.
  • Assist in planning and actively participate in community events, both on- and off-site.
  • Meet lead generation and patient retention goals set by the Business Development Engagement Manager and leadership.
  • Track and report productivity as outlined by the Membership Ambassador Manager.
  • Clearly explain Sanitas' value proposition, services, and care model to generate interest and leads.
  • Distribute marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and branded promotional items to increase brand visibility.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Display strong teamwork and goal-driven attitude.
  • Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for outreach events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

 

Required Experience

  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical, healthcare, or patient-facing environment.

 

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • N/A

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic and adaptable in fast-paced or event-based settings.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in community outreach, patient engagement, or public relations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with primary care, value-based care, or health insurance concepts is preferred.
  • Experience using CRM platforms or scheduling systems is preferred.
  • Previous involvement in healthcare marketing or community health education is preferred.

Languages

  • Advanced English is required.
  • Spanish is preferred.
  • Creole is preferred.

 

Travel

  • Frequent travel required to community locations, events, and Sanitas Medical Centers.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on event needs.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate tools and equipment.

  • Required to lift and move up to 10 lbs regularly, 30 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Must have vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

 

Environmental Conditions

  • Primarily indoor work environment with exposure to noise levels that may require speaking above ambient noise.
  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and rain during community events.
