Job Summary

The Business Development Engagement Manager will be responsible for driving the company’s growth by managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring successful project delivery. The focus of this role will include fostering strong client bonds, collaborating with internal teams, tracking project financial and performance, and acting as the primary point of contact for client needs and concerns.

  • Client Relationships Management: Build, maintain, and enhance long-term client relationships, serving as the main contact to address their needs and concerns.
  • Project and Engagement Management: Oversee client projects, manage engagement strategies, track performance metrics, monitor budgets, ensure successful project delivery, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and consultants, to align project objectives and provide comprehensive client solutions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and forecasts on engagement performance and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Problem Solving: Act as a liaison between the client and the company to resolve conflicts and address issues that arise during the engagement.
  • Patient Experience: Partner with local and regional teams to identify areas of improvement, leveraging feedback and performance data to drive continuous enhancement in patient and client experiences.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will supervise the Membership Ambassadors.

 

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or 5 years of equivalent experience).

 

Required Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Healthcare Business Administration or Business Development.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent ability to communicate, listen, understand, and negotiate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and organizational goals.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines, resources, and various project components.
  • Client Focus: Deep commitment to understanding and meeting client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze market data and solve complex problems effectively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs in a dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
  • Previous experience working in a primary care organization, medical group, or healthcare provider network is preferred.
  • Experience with value-based care programs, including Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Medicare Advantage, or risk-based contracts is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, especially capitation, shared savings, and quality-based incentive structures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with population health management, care coordination, and patient engagement strategies is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of key performance metrics in value-based care (e.g., HEDIS, Stars, CAHPS, NCQA measures) is preferred.
  • Experience managing partnerships or accounts with payers, health plans, or TPAs (Third Party Administrators) is preferred.

Travel

  • Frequent travel required to onsite client locations and/or Sanitas Medical Centers.
