Essential Functions:
The Metal Shop Technician at Storm Smart is responsible for the precise fabrication, assembly, and quality control of metal products, typically related to storm protection systems. This position involves operating machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Receive an order for material size to be manufactured.
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
- Safe, effective, accurate, and efficient manufacturing to ensure both the beauty and safety of the customer’s property is maintained.
- Protect the company’s property used in the manufacturing of the products.
- Demonstrate time management in the measurement, manufacturing, and handling of the material.
- Demonstrate time management in measuring, manufacturing, and managing the material.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and secure work environment. Put away tools and neatly stack materials at the end of each shift to maintain a pleasant appearance of the manufacturing plant.
- Abide by the conditions of employment to ensure the integrity of the company’s operation.
- Abide by all government and company regulations and standards of performance.
