Purpose
The Maintenance position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned properties, locations, communities are safe, attractive and well maintained and are operating within the hotel maintenance budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Relevant work experience (2 plus years preferred)
- Must have basic reporting and organizational skills
- Must be 18 years of age and have high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be capable of maintaining full time attendance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with hotel guests, staff, vendors and the general public.
- Must pass criminal background check (if required).
- Must have compassion for and a desire to work with the public in a hospitality setting.
- Must have working knowledge of plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC Certification preferred, but not required and other general repair skills.

Essential Job Functions
- Work closely with Director of Hotel Operations to help evaluate and find solutions to routine maintenance needs.
- Care for the routine maintenance needs of the hotel and its guests as if they were your own home and family.
- Assist Director of Hotel Operations with fire and life safety training and drills.
- Be extremely familiar with life safety and all operational systems in the hotel.
- Respond to guests/director/staff requests for maintenance through maintenance reports and log system.
- Ensure 24-hour repair/response time for all daily maintenance requests.
- All minor repairs including: basic carpentry, painting, electricity, plumbing, locksmith, and preventative maintenance
- Carry out tasks associated with a standardized preventative maintenance program.
- Hotel must be mechanically sound, safe, and well maintained.
- Interiors must be neat, paint and wall coverings clean, sound and chip/scratch free.
- Maintenance staff will have a keen sense of detail with regard to these items.
- Patching, painting and repair will be a major part of the maintenance program as well as carpet care and maintenance.
- Grounds, building exterior and interior, signage are maintained year-round
- Grounds must be blown and outdoor furniture swept daily.
Customer Service
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Reinforce company standards of customer service and create a high-quality customer experience.
Training
- Attend all in-house training as required.
Other
- Follow and communicate company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the marketing and sales efforts of the hotel.
- Provide written reports as requested by the Director of Hotel Operations.
