ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Production Manager leads print and mail operations across large format, press, bindery, mail, and fulfillment departments—ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery of complex, high-volume campaigns. This role drives continuous improvement, champions the adoption of new technologies, and fosters cross-functional collaboration with estimating, scheduling, procurement, and client services teams.
You’ll oversee a large-scale, multi-shift print and mail environment producing offset, digital, large format, and hybrid campaigns—all while upholding DCG ONE’s commitment to precision, reliability, and environmental responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and manage operations for production and quality.
- Coordinate activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Evaluates, trains, mentors, and provides guidance to employees.
- Correct employee performance when necessary, following company discipline guidelines.
- Develop and control profits, plans, and budgets.
- Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
- Establish and monitor departmental performance for production and quality standards.
- Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
- Maintain facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company's goals and objectives.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
- Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of production management experience in commercial printing, packaging, or direct mail.
- Strong understanding of offset and digital press operations, bindery, and mailing logistics.
- Proven ability to lead multi-shift teams and manage high-volume, deadline-driven production.
- Manages all employees within assigned departments, including performance management and hiring responsibilities.
- Experience with ERP/MIS systems (e.g., EFI Pace, PrintVis, or similar).
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged sitting with extensive computer use, including data entry and typing
- Regular walking on a cement production floor for varied durations
- Exposure to medium to high noise levels in a manufacturing environment
- Frequent lifting of items up to 30 lbs
- Occasional minimal lifting of office equipment and supplies
- Adequate hand dexterity and physical strength for job-related tasks
- Flexibility in work hours may be required to meet production demands

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
