EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must have a post-secondary degree in computer technology or a related technical/vocational discipline.
- Must have two (2) years of technical experience with computers, network/server management, and help desk support.
- Project Management Experience required.
- Experience with both PC and Mac computers preferred.

- Valid California Driver’s License, and personal auto liability insurance required. Must have a personal vehicle in good driving/operating condition, insured for State minimum liability requirements, and that can be used for the applicable job functions noted above.

- A current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required to determine eligibility for driving on behalf of the organization.

JOB SKILLS:
- Proficient in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting both PC and Mac systems, as well as common peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners, phones).
- Ability to manage and optimize mobile device data plans, including setup, service plan analysis, and hardware lifecycle tracking.
- Proven ability to provide first-line, in-house technical support with a focus on customer service and clarity.
- Skilled in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues promptly and escalating when necessary to contract IT vendors.
- Ability to plan and implement new systems or equipment, ensuring smooth integration into daily operations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple ongoing projects with minimal supervision.
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team demonstrating sound listening skills to receive directions and understand requests; maintains a cooperative and supportive attitude.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers to operate a computer, mobile devices, and related office equipment, and communicate clearly in person and through electronic means. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching to install, move, or troubleshoot technology equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and peripherals. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. This role also requires the ability to drive between agency sites to provide on-site technical support. Visual acuity and the ability to distinguish color are necessary for working with computer displays, software interfaces, and wiring or device indicators.
