Description

The Quality and Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing the quality assurance systems and processes. This position is also a key participant and leader in the continuous improvement efforts of the plant’s products, processes and the QMS.  The position directly supervises the quality department and is responsible for strategies and plans that achieve revenue, operating profit, quality, and lean manufacturing objectives. This position is a highly visible and responsible role that is accountable to uphold the quality standards of the organization while working to meet the goals of the business.

 

The Quality and Manufacturing Engineering Manager must demonstrate industry leading knowledge and expertise in systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.  The Quality & Manufacturing Engineering manager must have the ability to drive process improvement through the development of improved techniques and/or identification of improvements to equipment, tooling and fixturing. The Quality & Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for developing solutions to enhance efficiency and driving quality improvements to identify, implement and validate corrective and preventive actions.

This position reports to the Director of Global Quality

 

Qualifications

Pivotal Experience and Expertise:

Titan Intl. seeks a result-oriented, self-driven, hands-on Quality and Manufacturing Engineering Manager with experience leading high performing, cross-functional teams.  A proven track record of leading change and implementing best practices in the plant’s products, processes, and the quality management system.  

  • Lead and participate in defining KPI's for the business. Analyze KPI indicators, identify priorities, trends, and structured corrective and preventive actions to drive improvement efforts
  • Manage and implement lean concepts including lean manufacturing, six sigma, continuous improvement. Lead the cross-function teams through coaching and utilization of APQP and AIAG tools such as APQP, control plan, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, GR&R, 8D, etc.
  • Lead Product and process quality improvements and quality system improvements to meet company objectives
  • Manage the manufacturing engineering team to install and commission new production equipment, monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.
  • Oversee development of standard work for new prosses and upgrade of existing processes
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers to drive process improvements through Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Ensure processes and policies adhere to ISO standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree, required. Engineering discipline, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of quality plant-based experience, required
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory responsibility, required
  • Proven ability to implement and manage lean concepts
  • Experience with fiscal activities such as staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals
  • Proven track record of driving results and continuous improvement in an organization
  • Practical knowledge of leading-edge lean/six sigma strategies
  • Proven ability to lead and develop people
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), preferred
  • ISO Management experience
