CUSTODIAN PART TIME

The individual in this position is responsible for supporting the daily office and manufacturing operations by ensuring continual cleanliness and housekeeping of the office, warehouse, manufacturing facilities and grounds throughout the day while practicing safe work practices and adherence to all management directives, procedures and instructions in all activities.

FarmTek Upstairs Office Area:

• Clean the coffee area sinks and counters with a cleaner and a disinfectant spray.
• Clean the drinking fountains with a cleaner and a disinfectant.
• Disinfect the door handles (restrooms and hallways).
• Sweep/Scrub floors in front of counter areas, drinking fountains, elevator.
• Scrub floors by upstairs reception desk hallway and large training room.
• Conference Rooms (4) wipe off tables and chairs and vacuum.
• Dust wood stair rails and banister.
• Vacuum all areas including stairway.
• Dust cubicles
• Audit and restock supplies in all buildings.

Restrooms:

• Clean countertop and sink area with a cleaner and disinfectant.
• Wipe down all holders (toilet paper, soap dispensers, needle boxes and hand towel dispensers).
• Clean the entire toilet including base, handle, seat and rim with a cleaner. Then disinfect the entire toilet with a disinfectant spray. 
• Make sure that the entire urinal is cleaned and disinfected.
• Clean mirrors with a window cleaner.
• Clean and disinfect baseboards monthly.
• Dust all walls monthly.
• Clean wall under towel dispenser.
• Restroom stalls: clean doors, walls, bottom of stall legs and tops of stalls monthly.
• Spray disinfectant on stall door handles and door handles leaving restroom.
• Sweep and scrub floors.
• Change trash can liners in trash cans every day.
• Restrooms across from the lunchroom will also follow the same requirements listed above.

Lunchroom:

• Clean all tables and spray with a disinfectant.
• Clean the sink and counter area and disinfect.
• Wipe down all holders (soap, towel etc.)
• Clean inside microwaves.
• Clean outside of refrigerators and microwaves.
• Disinfect the handles on the refrigerators and microwaves.
• Clean baseboards monthly.
• Clean lunchroom doors and handles and disinfect.
• Wipe down outside of cupboards and disinfect the handles.
• Disinfect the computer area and the phone.
• Sweep and scrub the floor.
• Clean out the refrigerators.

Employee Entrance Hallway:

• Clean drinking fountain with cleaner and disinfectant.
• Dust or spot clean walls as necessary.
• Wipe down and disinfect doors and handles.
• Scrub Employee Entrance Hallway floor
• Vacuum rugs in the employee hallway, entry way, and vacuum staircases.
• Replenish disinfectant wipes by the time clock

FarmTek Employee Lounge:

• Clean restrooms in the employee lounge.
  • Clean sink area with a cleaner and disinfectant.
  • Wipe down all holders (toilet paper, soap dispensers, needle boxes and hand towel dispensers).
  • Clean the entire toilet including base, handle, seat and rim with a cleaner. Then disinfect the entire toilet with a disinfectant spray. 
  • Make sure that the entire urinal is cleaned and disinfected.
  • Clean mirrors with a window cleaner.
  • Clean and disinfect baseboards monthly.
  • Dust all walls monthly.
  • Clean wall under towel dispenser.
  • Spray a disinfectant on door handles leaving restroom.
  • Mop floors
  • Empty wastebaskets
• Empty all wastebaskets in the employee lounge.
• Clean glass on vending machines with glass cleaner.
• Clean all tables and spray with a disinfectant.
• Clean floors as needed.

FarmTek 1^st Floor Reception Area:

• Vacuum downstairs reception area and entry way.
• Dust the reception area and wipe down tables and chairs.

FarmTek Warehouse:

• Clean restrooms in the warehouse – complete tasks above as for other restrooms.

Beam Building:

• Clean Bathrooms (3) – 2 downstairs, 1 upstairs
  • Wipe Dispensers, Sinks, Toilets, and Stall Panels. 
  • Scrubs Floors
  • Fill toilet paper and paper towel dispensers
  • Dump Garbage
• Clean Break Room
  • Wipe down appliances (microwaves/coffee/Keurig/refrigerators/toaster)
  • Clean out refrigerators and remove any old food/drinks.
  • Wipe tables and chairs.
  • Clean counters, cupboards, and sinks
  • Clean outside of vending machines.
  • Replace any soap, paper towels, napkins, salt & pepper.
  • Scrub floor

• • Dump Garbage
  • Dust
• Clean Offices
  • Scrub floors and dust desks (do not remove any items).  Empty trash cans.
• Wipe down yellow railings
  • Done once a month or sooner if needed.

• Timeclock Area
  • Wipe down time clock
  • Refill Purell Wipes/Hand sanitizer as needed.

Weld Shop:

• Clean Bathrooms (2)
  • Wipe Dispensers, Sinks, Toilets, and Stall Panels. 
  • Scrubs Floor
  • Fill toilet paper and paper towel dispensers
  • Dump Garbage
• Clean Break Room
  • Wipe down appliances (microwaves/coffee/Keurig/refrigerators/toaster)
  • Clean out refrigerators and remove any old food/drinks.
  • Wipe tables and chairs.
  • Clean counters, cupboards, and sinks
  • Clean outside of vending machines.
  • Replace any soap, paper towels, napkins, salt & pepper.
  • Scrub floor

Other duties as assigned:

• Fill in by cleaning in ClearSpan building when full time custodial is away – Similar to what is done in the Beam and Weld shop buildings.
• Maintain a cleaning schedule in the Venlo

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations and policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions.

Education and/or Experience                                                   

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing setting a plus.

Language Skills                                                

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

Mathematical Skills                                                     

Ability to understand basic math skills.

Other Qualifications         

Must be safety conscious and follow all safety guidelines.
