Virginia Health Services is hiring a Full Time, Administrative Assistant for Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located in Hampton, VA.Â
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks under the direction of the Administrator.

Essential Job Duties:
- Assists the staff as needed.
- Prepares and records daily deposits for all facilities, including monthly reconciliations, and maintains checkbook.
- Screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party.
- Responsible for corporate banking and postal activities.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies.
- Responsible for ordering kitchen supplies.
- Maintains corporate office equipment.
- Promote and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors.
- Complies with all established policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Working knowledge of office equipment (postage meter, folding machine)
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math and accounting skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is also required to stand and walk.
