OLP Clinician, Foster Care

Social Workers or Mental Health Counselors with limited permits are eligible for $2500 signing bonus!

Licensed Social Workers or Mental Health Counselors are eligible for a $7500 signing bonus!

Work related travel reimbursed at predetermined rates

 

As a Clinician in the Therapeutic Foster Care Family Program, you will provide clinical services to children and families in foster care. The Therapeutic Foster Family Program provides foster and pre-adoptive foster homes for abused and neglected children from birth through age 21 and supports families in the goal of re-unification and permanency. Each foster parent receives intensive training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive experience. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite and in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, treatment planning and general counseling for children in foster care.
  • Required to provide 20-25 hours of individual, group, or family therapy per week.
  • Conduct specialized risk assessments.
  • Consult with other staff involved in the care of the child and families.
  • Attend case related meetings.
  • Participate in supervision.
  • Have regular communication with birth families around progress/problems of children in care, how to support them and work towards permanency.
  • Provide regular case documentation for all children and families on workload including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans.

Requirements and Education:

  • Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling or related field required.
  • Must be eligible for limited permit or have active NYS licensure in one of the following disciplines: LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or LCAT.
  • Valid NYS driver's license required.
