Northern Rivers has opportunities for Teacher Aides at our Neil Hellman School. The school serves residential and day students with serious emotional, behavioral and learning challenges, and our team members provide the therapeutic, educational and vocational services they need to empower our students to reach their maximum potential to ensure student success.Â
For some of these children, coming to school allows them to be in a place where they are cared for and allowed to just be kids, and to reach their educational goals without the stress of food insecurity or housing availability.Â
As a Teacher Aide, you see the progress a child in your classroom is making as each week advances, giving you a sense of accomplishment knowing that you make a difference in each child’s life.Â
Teacher Aides assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of behavior management and supporting students' success in school. You will work onsite at our Albany campus, and follow the school calendar, which includes a six-week summer school beginning in July.Â
