Job Purpose:
- This position is responsible for preparing menu items for all meal programs using established recipes and cooking procedures. The Production Cook will ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with standardized recipes and established cooking procedures, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food for all meal programs as assigned, following standardized recipes and established cooking procedures.
- Utilize both small and large quantity cooking equipment to efficiently prepare foods.
- Incorporate safe food handling practices into all job tasks to ensure the safety and quality of food served.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Work quickly and accurately to meet meal service deadlines.
- Follow oral and written instructions to maintain consistency and quality in food preparation.
- Identify and adhere to quality standards in finished food products, ensuring that all meals meet the high standards set by LIFECARE ALLIANCE.
