Job Purpose:
- This position is responsible for performing work in an assigned area of the distribution kitchen or packaging facility. The employee will follow established principles of food handling and sanitation under the immediate supervision of the Operations Manager. The role is crucial in ensuring that meals are prepared, packaged, and delivered in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the overall success of LIFECARE ALLIANCE's mission to provide quality meals to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Package meals and sort them into bags/coolers according to route/site order, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Visually inspect meals for completeness and quality, adhering to company standards.
- Maintain the attractiveness and neatness of meals by following departmental packaging procedures.
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely meal distribution.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, both in writing and verbally.
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately to meet operational goals.
- Perform basic math calculations as needed for meal packaging and distribution tasks.
- Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds as required for meal preparation and packaging.
- Work independently with general supervision, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
