JOB SUMMARY

This position is for a MDS Coordinator whose responsibility is to coordinate the timely completion of the Minimum Data Set material for residents at Coastal Manor.  Utilizes the nursing process to assess, prioritize, plan, deliver, and evaluate adolescent, adult and geriatric resident population responses.  Coordinates the shift activities of the unit.  Refers unusual clinical and administrative problems to the Director of Nursing.  The position reports to the Director of Nursing.    

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of an associates or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
2. Formal Training: Clinical competence in nursing required.
3. Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia; BLS certification required. 
4. Work Experience: Intermediate knowledge of the nursing process. Basic computer skills.  Minimum of one (1) year of Long Term Care experience preferred. Must have MDS experience.
