GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager works closely with Vice Presidents, Directors, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, external clients, and a variety of other internal departments.  This person ensures compliance with established internal processes and procedures. They are responsible for preparing and receiving signed Contract agreements, process and reconcile project draws, owner change orders, owner contracts and project closeouts. This position also ensures that subcontractors are paid consistent with their contractual obligations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of administrative professionals who communicate and support each other.
  • Set up and review executed contracts and file pre-liens/notices to owner as needed.
  • Complete monthly owner draws by preparing and compiling necessary documentation, including lien waivers and sworn statements.
  • Post customer payments in a timely manner and manage unapplied cash.
  • Track intents to lien and current liens and partner with Operations to resolve.
  • Maintain complete and accurate files.
  • Participate in annual audit as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities and assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & TRAINING 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Construction Accounting experience

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of Construction Accounting experience required.
  • Construction billing experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Data entry keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prior experience with Viewpoint, GCPay, and Procore a plus.

  • Able to quickly learn new technologies, programs, and databases.
  • Possess excellent analytical and reasoning skills; ability to think ahead/troubleshoot.  Remove obstacles before they become problems.
  • Requires strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize effectively to meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong  organizational skills.
  • Possess ability to be a self- starter; resourceful, dependable, and accountable.
  • Build and maintain favorable working relationships with clients and other team members.
  • Ability to work with Integrity, Trust, and Respect; setting an example for others.
  • Thrives in a friendly, fast-paced, team-oriented environment where accountability, work ethic and a “can do” attitude is a necessity.
  • Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential.
